Forever Flowers

These examples illustrate the evolution of one image: flower. My early work in 1997 revealed whimsical swirls and color that represented “flower” in a very obvious way. Over the years the flower would be transformed in many variations. For instance, vertical lines and circles were sufficient to symbolize stems and blossoms. These in turn would become even more abstract in form within landscapes or bouquets. Half of the pieces here are large measuring approximately 18″ x 24″. The other half are found in bound books. The six darker images were done in a book whose pages were the color you see.
